CHILD DEDICATION
Each year, on Mother's Day, The Edge has a Child Dedication Celebration. At The Edge, we view baby dedication a bit differently. This is not an infant baptism, but a decision that parents make to intentionally parent their child with the most important end in mind: that their child would live his or her life and have a growing relationship with Jesus Christ.This is an opportunity for parents to take some time at the beginning of their journey to really think about what will matter the most in the life of their child. We want to be your strongest supporters and your trusted guides as you raise your child to know what it means to have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
Child Dedication is appropriate for babies and children up to age 5. Above age 5, we think that Baptism is appropriate for your child.
First, we would like for you to listen to these three audio messages together - and do the homework. They can be streamed from our website by clicking on the Media Player below or downloaded to an mp3 player.
Second, we would like for you to print this form, fill it out and bring it to Guest Services.
Finally, we would like for you, your family and your friends to stand before the church during the Child Dedication Celebration to declare publicly what you have decided for each other and for your child.
